Welcome to my nightmare
My saga started in August of 2023 when I ordered impact windows and doors from Alco Windows and Doors of South Florida. With 6 windows and 2 doors, this was not an insignificat purchase for me. In fact I chose one of Alco's conveniently recommended finance companies and was able to secure the full amount with no money down, no interest or payments due for 12 months and no pre-payment penalty. Normal you might be able to get windows and doors in 4-8 weeks but with things the way they were at the end of 2023 they informed me that it would be December before I could get mine installed. I understood the delay and thanked them for being up front with me.
But December came and went. When I asked for and update I was told it would now be the beginning of March. March came and went. When I asked for another update I was told there were more problems with the glass manufacturer and it would now be June. So when June came I didn't wait for it to be over. I called early in the month for an update and was told it would now by July or August.
At this point I asked to cancel my order. They told me I can't cancel my order, WHAT! I'm currently still trying to cancel the loan and the order.
